Upcoming Events & Special Services:
Vacation Bible School season has arrived! We will be joining with other area churches for this year’s VBS adventure, “Cave Quest: Following Jesus, the Light of the World.” VBS will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Arendtsville, July 11th through 15th, from 6:15 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. We have been asked to help supply volunteers for the program. You do NOT have to sign up for every night. Volunteers are needed in all areas, to include crafts, snacks, etc. Even though we are not hosting our own VBS this year, Pastor Linda still hopes that we can serve our children and the children of neighboring communities by participating and being extra hands! We are asking everyone to consider sharing an evening or two during VBS week to help
The newest edition of Our Daily Bread, for the months of Jun, Jul & Aug, is now available in the narthex and in the gathering area.
During the month of July, our Special Mission Offering is being received in support of the Salvation Army Relief Fund. One of the primary ways that the Salvation Army raises funds is through the Annual Kettle Campaign, but the local district has no kettles in the Upper Adams School District. Through the Salvation Army, Trinity can help to provide gas vouchers for those needing help to get to work or to medical appointments, as well as respond with limited help for utility bills and those facing eviction.
During the month of July, we are receiving toilet paper, complete pancake mix, pancake syrup, cans of spaghetti sauce (no glass jars), cans or plastic bottles of 100 % juice (tomato or fruit), and jelly (plastic jars or squeeze bottles). The pantry prefers to not have any glass containers because many of the older patrons have trouble dropping items. Donations will be taken to the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program at the Upper Adams Food Pantry, located at Centenary United Methodist Church, Biglerville. Our collection box is in the gathering area, by the mail cubbies.
"A Taste of Trinity" We are selling our fundraiser Cookbook for $10 each. Please see Brynn or Lauren, payment at time of purchase.
We have scheduled our next outing to the Sight & Sound Theater in Lancaster on Saturday, November 5th, for the 11:00 a.m. showing of “Samson.” Adults are $70.30 and children are $25.00. Please sign-up in the gathering area and pay for your tickets no later than July 31st. The earlier we reserve seats, the better our seating choice.
